I'm Quentin Fortabat, a fire cutter (in French, coupeur de feu) based in Soustons, in the Landes. This practice was passed down within my family: it aims to soothe the sensation of burning and to support the comfort of people going through a burn or skin discomfort.
In some regions it is also called barreur de feu. The support uses words, gestures and a settled intention, with no physical contact needed: it can therefore take place on-site in Soustons or remotely, anywhere in France.
This support is complementary. It never replaces medical advice, treatment or care, and no result can be promised.

How does the support work?
You get in touch by phone, text message or through the contact form. We talk briefly to understand your situation and agree on a time.
The intervention is short: I take in your request, then work with the words and intention passed down to me. On-site in Soustons or remotely, there is nothing particular for you to prepare.
A fire cutter's work is part of a wellbeing and support approach, and in no way replaces medical advice, treatment or first aid.
Fire cutter remotely
Because the practice needs no physical contact, it can also be carried out remotely, anywhere in France. For shingles as well as for certain burning sensations, the support can be carried out remotely when travelling is not possible.
In practice: you call or write to me, give me your last name, first name, a photo of yourself and what you are feeling, and I intervene as soon as possible.

In the event of a significant burn or any doubt, it is essential to consult a healthcare professional or call the emergency services. For any request linked to ongoing treatment, I only work with medical agreement and oversight. No result can be guaranteed.
